melted wax

lyrics

If these tears are just for right now
why do they stain my eyelids
Is anyone okay with
The loosening grip we all have
On this

Everytime I paint my portrait
Hardens and flakes like melted wax
Taught to remain complacent
Never the right time to unpack

Something is wrong again
I don't have the strength to decipher it
The world has shifted to the left
Now the climb Is aimless

Everytime I sculpt my castle
Washes aways with the tide
Never thought to move it
Rebuilding until the end of time

If my hands are really my own
Why do they sketch something different
Filling all the spaces in with black
The descent into static

Everytime I try to face my future
Reach forward and thrusted back
Almost like it was never written
Error, cannot find this path

Something is wrong again
I don't have the strength to decipher it
The world has shifted to the left
Now the climb Is aimless

Everytime I sculpt my castle
Washes aways with the tide
Never thought to move it
Rebuilding until the end of time
